Who is responsible
Irving Books is operated by Focal Point International LLC, 701 Tillery St, Unit 12-2475, Austin, TX 78702, USA. It decides how enquiries sent through this site are used, and you can reach it at info@irvingbooks.com about anything on this page.
The enquiry form
The form asks for your name, email address, enquiry type and proposal, with an optional organisation name. Irving Books uses them only to assess and answer your enquiry and to arrange any work that follows; the legal basis is its legitimate interest in responding to professional requests. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
The form is delivered by FormSubmit, an email-forwarding service, which may use cookies and a verification step. See FormSubmit’s privacy information (PDF). Enquiries are kept only as long as they are needed for that purpose and any resulting work.
Where your data goes
Irving Books and FormSubmit are based outside the UK, so your enquiry is handled in the United States. Irving Books does not sell or share enquiries for marketing.
Visitor statistics
The site counts visits with Umami, a cookie-free analytics tool that Irving Books runs on its own server. It records the page, the referring site, and the browser and country in aggregate. It sets no cookies, does not build a profile of you, and ignores browsers that send a “Do Not Track” signal.
Videos & posts
YouTube preview images are requested from YouTube when the interview cards load. The video player connects to YouTube only when you choose to play a video, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced address. X posts load only when you choose “Load posts from X”. These services may receive your IP address and apply their own policies: see Google’s privacy policy and X’s privacy policy. You can open videos and posts on their own platforms instead.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data-protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete what Irving Books holds about you, or object to its use, by writing to info@irvingbooks.com. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or to your local data-protection authority.
Hosting & links
The site is served through Cloudflare, and the web server keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect it. Bookshops, journals and other linked websites have their own policies.
